Tribute to Zeke...The Best Dog You Could Ever Ask For!

This Newsletter is a Tribute to a few of our Loved ones that recently passed. This is not meant in any way to bring sadness, but to bring Happiness and remembrance for the fulfilling lives they led! Please help us remember Zeke, Aslan and Satchmo! One thing I've learned from the years in this Business is that's it's not really work, it's a bond and an attachment that is created with the Pet's I see on a daily basis. The one thing that I didn't expect to deal with so much is the loss of pets, which is tough because I consider them my my pets as well. It can be difficult but when you have my Zeke pass as well as 2 other close pets all close together it gets especially challenging! My Little Bear Zeke will be deeply missed but lives on through my future fishing trips and from countless memories we shared
Zeke was one in a Million!

Zeke's joy in life was to sleep, eat, go fishing and to ride along during the day with Papa to play with his 4 legged friends! Too many words to describe how he meant to me and others so I put together a tribute page for him that shows his Love of Life.

Aslan...one Happy Lab that always seemed to Smile!!
Aslan has been a close buddy of mine for years now. Each visit seemed to brighten my day more and more with his happy go lucky smile. Winter time was his favorite time of the year and his ability to make a snow angel was truely worth admiring. He loved to play inside with his toys, naps on the couch, he loved his belly rubs, his slow paced casual walks and more importantly, Az loved to smile. He will be missed tremendously and will be hard to replace...

Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. - Author Unknown

Satchmo...What a special dog that will be missed by many & especially myself!
Satchmo was a rescue dog that started his life in a not so great place than was adopted by a true dog lover and found a special home. Satchmo would get soo excited to see me he would run around the yard frantically awaiting for me to greet him and receive kisses! Satchmo's joy of life was to chase tennis balls, or really anything you could throw to him he would chase. Satchmo left us suddenly last week unfortunately and it still hits close to home from his loss.

This was passed on to me by someone recently: When Your Hut's On Fire The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him. Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. He cried out, 'God! How could you do this to me?' Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island! It had come to rescue him! 'How did you know I was here?' asked the weary man of his rescuers. 'We saw your smoke signal,' they replied. The Moral of This Story : It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of our pain and suffering. Remember that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.

I've had many ask me what they can do to help? To make these Memories long lasting and to help, please make a donation to Max Fund, the Denver Dumb Friends or Morris Animal Foundation...this goes a long way to remember them and to help other Pets in need. Thanks to those who have already given so far!
